An Introduction to Zikorean Poetry
Ziket and Zinet are short poetic forms and both were invented by me so both can be called: Zik Forms, Zik Genres, Zik Poems, Zik Poetry, or collectively for forms and poets Zikorean Poetry. In the same way, the writers of Ziket are called Ziketeers and the writers of Zinet are called Zineteers. Dr. Zik Foundation is a platform for the promotion of Zik Forms, writers, and critics as well. The foundation has a channel: www.youtube.com/drzikfoundation and monitoring a platform with the name “The World Ziket and Zinet Center” short name is “The Ziket Center”. This center has designed several awards and certificates for the Ziketeers. The center has been nominating poets for many years for the titles of Zineteers and Zineteers from all over the world. It is better to discuss my struggle. In this busy and daily routine of rapidly changing and improving society, no one has time to compose or read long poems. So when I found two types’ trends for writing short poems or writing poems using short poetic lines, through my research work based upon more than 150 poets from more than 30 countries of all the continents. I have researched like making an idol out of a stone by removing wastages from its surface to show the face and body by exploring frames and features. As for my interest concerns, I’m satisfied by doing nothing extra the running water except mentioning filters through which two trends transformed into two short poetic forms. I have declared
them by showing two definitions that I commonly found in the poetry of poets. A Ziket has 6 to 13 syllables in 2 poetic lines. The first line has 1 to 8 syllables, and the second line has 1 to 5 syllables (1–8,1–5), depends upon the mood and revelation of the poet. It is a shorter poetic form than Haiku, while Haiku has 17 syllables in 3 poetic lines (5,7,5). Consisting total of 2 syllables: 1 syllable in each poetic line, a poem is the shortest Ziket in English or the world. A Zinet consisting of one poetic line is a shorter poetic form than Ziket and has 1 to 5 syllables. One syllable Zinet is said to be the shortest poetic form in English literature and the world. Many poets had been using these styles in the past for many years. Nowadays, several modern poets have been using these two styles for many years too. You are the live example of a user of these styles.
